A video for people facing a life-threatening illness, their families, loved ones and caregivers. Dr Smith, former Dean of Medicine at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario and living with ALS, and his wife Karen, discuss how they worked their way through the difficult decisions they faced with broadcast journalist Judy Maddren.

They discuss in a frank and intimate way their feelings, expectations and fears in the context of a life-threatening illness.

Each 30 minute video comes with a study guide for individual use or with support groups.
