Our Logo is an import symbol for our organization and we are careful in how it is circulated for use. The ALS Society logo was developed in 1996 by ALS Society of Canada Board member and creative director of Portifino Studios Trevor Peddler. The bilingual logo incorporates an element of humanity and an element of fluidity that helps explain ALS - the physical degeneration, general mental alertness or weaker body and stronger mind. The colour was chosen for its distinctiveness at the time and for the authority it conveys. The image has assisted in the wider recognition of ALS, the disease and the work of the ALS Society, since its adoption in 1996. It is registered with the Government of Canada.
