A New Kind of Newsletter

Over the past few months, the ALS Society of Alberta's Web site has undergone a considerable amount of construction. Not only have we updated and added resources, we have also introduced new features and Web pages.

We feel the entire ALS Society of Alberta Web site acts as a newsletter;
the only difference is it's updated on a weekly, if not daily basis!

Take a Tour of our Web site!

The first thing you see when you come to www.alsab.ca is our home page. This is where you will find information about new events, stories, Web site features and fundraising. The home page is also a great place to start navigating around the site. Bookmark our home page and check back as often as you would like-- there is always something new happening with the ALS Society of Alberta!

New Features for 2003!

The newest and most exciting feature on the ALS Society of Alberta's Web page is a Message Board. We encourage you to post messages as often as you like, write responses to others inquires and ask questions about anything having to do with ALS. Don't forget to check back often and see what everyone is talking about!

If you happened to miss any of latest events surrounding the ALS Society of Alberta, check out our Recent Events page. Complete with event write-ups and photos, the Recent Events section is a great way to keep up to date on what the Society is doing out in the community and around the province.

Our new Upcoming Events section provides you with a list of special events happening throughout the province. It's always a good idea to check out the Upcoming Events link on the bottom of our home page for more information about time, location and event description.

Updated Features

This summer we have completely re-created the Walk to D'Feet ALS Web page, giving it a much needed facelift. Featuring kick-off party dates, walk locations, team information, letter writing campaign ideas and much more, this new site offers a quick and easy way to get all the walk information you need. Check it out for yourself and help us Walk to D'Feet ALS!

Our new Q&A area has been updated and is now broken down into sections focusing on news, ALS around the world and general information. Every link is paired with a description of what you will find on the site, making it easier than ever to find exactly what you're looking for.

While You're Here, Check Out:

Words and Wheels: As a new addition to the ALS Society of Alberta's many fundraising efforts, Words and Wheels is a pre-authorized monthly giving program. The name Words and Wheels represents the communication devices and mobility equipment that your donation will help to provide, and which gives a voice to the silent and freedom of movement to the paralysed.

Planned Giving: Supporters of the ALS Society of Alberta can make a bigger impact than they ever thought possible.

Edmonton ALS Clinic: Joining the Calgary ALS Clinic on line is the Edmonton ALS Clinic, which is committed to the care of people with ALS.
