Look At All These Smiling Faces!
Our fundraising events are a chance to gather as a community of people who have been touched by ALS, celebrate the courage and dedication that ALS seems to bring out, and, most importantly, have fun.
The variety of fundraising events that are held by, or on behalf of, the Society shows that anything is possible if someone believes in what they are doing.
Here are some highlights from events in 2001:
Betty’s Run
Calgary
June 10, 2001
This event, which will celebrate it’s 6th anniversary in 2002, is currently our biggest fundraiser. It has raised over $650,000 to date.
Over 1,000 people attend each year, and everyone has lots of fun, while helping to make each day the best possible day for people with ALS.
