What is Words and Wheels?

Words and Wheels is the name of the ALS Society of Alberta's pre-authorized giving program. It is a simple way to make regular contributions in support of the Society's work to make everyday the best possible day for people with ALS.

The name Words and Wheels represents the communication devices and mobility equipment that your donation will help to provide, and which gives a voice to the silent and freedom of movement to the paralysed.

How does Words and Wheels work?

As a Words and Wheels donor, you authorize the ALS Society of Alberta to receive a monthly gift from your credit card. It is easy to get started. All you have to do is decide how much you would like to give each month, then leave the rest to us. An annual income tax receipt will be mailed to you each year covering your total contributions made to the Society during the year. We guarantee that you can change or cancel your contributions at any time.

Words and Wheels is the best way to give because:

It is easy and convenient for you. Your gift is automatically made through your credit card;
It is cost effective for the ALS Society of Alberta because we can reduce the volume of mail we send, use less paper and keep administrative costs low. This means more resources go directly to helping people with ALS.
It is a stable and reliable source of funding, therefore we can plan ahead and promise long-term support to our clients.
