SUMMARY:Light Up the Rink to End ALS
DESCRIPTION:Light Up the Rink to End ALS \n\n\n\nJoin the Bow View Rapids for a special glow-themed skate as we come together to raise awareness and funds for the ALS Society of Alberta\, in support of the Dries Family. \n\n\n\nFor one evening\, the rink will transform as we dim the lights and light up the ice. Players will skate surrounded by glowing lights\, music\, and a community showing their support for ALS awareness. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\nDonate Here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParticipation \n\n\n\nA suggested donation of $25 per skater helps support the ALS Society of Alberta. If you’re feeling extra generous\, even better! \n\n\n\nEvery contribution helps raise awareness and support programs for those living with ALS. \n\n\n\nGlow Theme \n\n\n\nWear your blue and bring your glow as we light up the rink together. \n\n\n\nFood & Refreshment \n\n\n\nPizza will be generously provided by Bow Tie Pizza for participants and families to enjoy\, and drinks generously supplied by Labatt Breweries and Big Rock Brewery will be available by donation. Refreshments will also be provided for the skaters. \n\n\n\nIf you or your company are able to contribute additional support toward the event\, please email: bowviewALS@gmail.com \n\n\n\nTogether\, we can light up the rink and make a difference. \n\n\n\nHow to Explain ALS to our Children \n\n\n\nALS affects how the brain talks to the muscles in our body. By skating together\, we are helping raise awareness and support for families facing ALS. \n\n\n\nTo ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate\, there will be multiple scheduled ice times throughout the evening\, giving all players equal time on the ice to enjoy the glow skate experience. Join us in the Rose Hall Banquet Room if you’re not on the ice! \n\n\n\n\nSkaters must be a current Bow View player.\n\n\n\nCSA-approved helmets and skates are required on the ice.\n\n\n\nFamilies are welcome to attend and enjoy the event.
