The 15th Annual Run took place on Sunday June 12th at North Glenmore Park

The 2011 Betty's Run for ALS raised over $465,000 for ALS!!! Congratulations to everyone on their hard work.

Since its inception, Bettys Run for ALS has raised almost
$4.5 million for ALS awareness, patient services, equipment & research to
find a cause and cure for this terrible disease.
Thanks to all who have helped make this a reality!

DIRECTIONS FOR RACE DAY:

Sunday, June 12, 2011
Glenmore Park Rowing and Canoe Club,
North Glenmore Park, Calgary

Follow Crowchild Trail South, past Glenmore Trail, into Glenmore Park.  Due to parking conditions in Glenmore Park, please plan to come early! Watch for the ALS shuttle buses within Glenmore Park and the Lakeview Shopping Centre for a ride to the race start area.


TRANSPORTATION:

CAR:
If you are driving, please park in the Lakeview Shopping Centre and catch the convenient Bettys Run for ALS Shuttle to North Glenmore Park.

BUS/C-TRAIN:
There is only one way to get to North Glenmore Park via public transit on Sunday, June 12th:

  1. Take C-Train to Chinook Station (Note: C-Train runs every 15 minutes on Sunday)
  2. Transfer to Route 47 bus (Lakeview/Chinook Station) (Note:#47 runs every 1/2 hour and the first #47 bus leaves Chinook LRT Station at 8:48 am, arriving at Lakeview S.C. at 8:58 am) and then catch the Betty's Run bus down to the site. This is pretty close timing if someone still has to register (registration starts at 9:00 am).


PLEDGES, TEAM PRIZES AND AWARDS:

  • Collect the pledge money from your sponsors.
  • Deposit all pledge money before race day at any Bank of Montreal in Alberta.
  • Bring your pledge sheet with you when you pick up your race package to be eligible for awards and prizes.

Please ensure that the Bank of Montreal teller stamps your pledge sheet. Attach your BMO deposit receipt(s) to your pledge sheet and bring your pledge sheet to the Running Room when you pick up your race package. Pledges can be accepted on race day at the Canoe Club from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Commemorative Plaques will be awarded to the group/team with the highest collective total of pledges, as well as top fundraising individuals. Team pledges must be submitted collectively no later than 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 12th at the Canoe Club. Any pledges received outside of that group submission, cannot be included for this award.
