Side by Side for ALS
Side by Side for ALS is a movement rooted in connection. It celebrates the lives and stories of those living with ALS, honours the legacy of those we have lost, and carries that legacy forward. Every step taken is a promise: no one faces ALS alone. We stand beside individuals, families, and caregivers.
Formerly known as Betty’s Run for ALS (Calgary) and Walk Together for ALS (across nine Alberta communities), this important fundraiser has been renewed for 2026 and beyond. As the ALS Society of Alberta marks its 40th anniversary and these events enter their 30th year, Side by Side for ALS reflects a bold, modern future grounded in a humble grassroots event.
Inspired by Betty’s legacy and driven by hope, Side by Side for ALS calls on communities across Alberta to strengthen every connection and create lasting impact in the fight against ALS.
