Equipment Loan Program
If you need equipment, we are here for you.
The ALS Society of Alberta is able to respond to the rapidly changing needs of Albertans affected by ALS. Through our provincial Equipment Loan Program, we are able to assist people affected by ALS by lending power mobility devices, assistive communication devices, and other medical equipment. The ALS Society of Alberta maintains a range of equipment and works to ensure its inventory keeps pace with advancements that support quality care. The Equipment Loan Program is free of charge to ensure support is available when needed. The ALS Society of Alberta covers the costs of delivery and pickup, and once the person no longer requires the equipment, it is cleaned and returned to the loan pool.
All equipment provided through the loan program is assessed and recommended by a healthcare professional based on clinical need. Healthcare professionals are responsible for determining appropriate equipment and submitting requests to the Equipment Loan Program.
