Making It Possible #28 – Board of Directors

When people think about the ALS Society of Alberta, they often think of the programs, services, equipment, research, and events that support Albertans living with and affected by ALS. Helping guide and safeguard that work is a dedicated group of volunteer leaders helping to make that possible.

Our Board brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds who share a common commitment: making each day the best possible day for people living with and affected by ALS. They volunteer countless hours throughout the year, providing governance, strategic oversight, and stewardship as they help shape the future of the ALS Society of Alberta.

Whether they are setting organizational direction, ensuring strong governance practices, overseeing financial stewardship, or helping steward the resources entrusted to us by donors and supporters, their contributions help ensure that Albertans living with and affected by ALS continue to receive the support they need.

We are proud to recognize our Board of Directors:
Nancy Lyzaniwski (Chairperson), Andrea Orzech (Treasurer), Nick Poirier (Secretary), Gordon Banting (Past Treasurer), Pam Keenan, Terri Kezema, Kimberly Howard, Tom Gee, Scott Vuylsteke, Lynn Headley, Willy Grant, Monty Sehgal, and David Pollock (Directors).

While much of their work happens behind the scenes, their impact is felt across our organization and throughout Alberta’s ALS community. Through their commitment to good governance, accountability, and long-term vision, they help make our work possible.

To each of them, thank you for your service and dedication.

Help us make an impact
