ALS Caregiver Coffee & Book Club Series

Caring for someone living with ALS is a journey that can be meaningful, exhausting, beautiful, and heartbreaking, often all at the same time. Many ALS caregivers tell us that one of the hardest parts of the journey is feeling alone in the experience. The ALS Caregiver Coffee & Book Club was created to offer a space where caregivers can gather, talk honestly, reflect on stories that resonate, and connect with others who understand the ALS caregiving journey in a way few people can.

Hosted by writer, speaker, and caregiver advocate Kelsie Snow, this series alternates between ALS Caregiver Coffee conversations and ALS Caregiver Book Club discussions. Some sessions involve reading a book, while others involve listening to a podcast episode or essay beforehand and coming together for conversation.

You are welcome whether you have finished the reading or listening or not. The goal is not homework. The goal is connection, conversation, and community.

Each session is offered twice in one day so ALS caregivers can attend at a time that works best for them. These sessions are currently offered in Calgary, with additional locations and virtual ALS caregiver sessions that may be added in the future.

Morning Session: 9:00 – 11:00 AM, ATCO Café
Evening Session: 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Alforno Eau Claire

Registration is required for each session. Please note that the registration platform may display a payment information screen, but payment is not required. You will receive an email confirmation once your registration is complete.
