Making It Possible #21 – Quonset Days

What began as a heartfelt tribute in 2010 has grown into one of Alberta’s most remarkable grassroots fundraising traditions. Known to many as “The Greatest Outdoor Party on Dirt,” Quonset Days returns to Seven Persons, Alberta this July to continue bringing people together through music, community, and a shared commitment to supporting Albertans affected by ALS.

Created by Janet, Trevor, and Traci Biemans in honour of their husband and father, Peter Biemans, Quonset Days stands as a lasting tribute to Peter’s life and legacy. Over the years, the event has evolved from a backyard gathering into a powerful community movement, to date, raising over $1,000,000 in support of the ALS Society of Alberta.

Its impact extends far beyond fundraising. Quonset Days is built on connection, generosity, and the belief that no one should face ALS alone. Every volunteer, sponsor, performer, attendee, and organizer plays a role in making that vision a reality.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Biemans family, the Quonset Days Board of Directors, and the countless volunteers and supporters who continue to make this event possible. Your dedication, hard work, and community spirit have created something truly special.

Thank you for honouring Peter’s memory and for helping build a future filled with hope, compassion, and possibility for Albertans living with and affected by ALS.
