Ongoing Community Support

adam’s pale ale: sea change

To celebrate the invigorating life of Adam Rombough, Sea Change Brewery is donating $1 from every 4pack of their limited-edition Adam’s Pale Ale directly to The ALS Society of Alberta. We are challenging everyone to crack open an Adam’s Pale Ale and post a picture or video of themselves having #OneOnAdam to spread awareness and inspire more donations through this donation page. On behalf of the entire Rombough family, and all of Adam’s friends, thank you for taking the time to watch his story, and donating to the Society that helps so many families in Alberta as they live with ALS.

Bartier Bros.

Bartier Bros. is a longstanding and proud supporter of the ALS Society of Alberta. They support many Society events, as well as help to raise awareness and funds for people living with and affected by ALS. Brothers Don and Michael have focused their careers into an exciting idea, Bartier Bros. wine. These wines represent unique and precious Okanagan Valley attributes: purity, freshness, vibrancy and above all, intensity. Inspired by the award-winning Okanagan winemaker Michael Bartier, Bartier Bros. Wines are an earnest expression of the Okanagan Valley's geography, history and people. The Valley's ethos dictates a proud resilient optimism and self-reliance where the hallmark qualities of hard work and contentment reign. Inspiration is always useful, and the valley has it in spades, but it is the fundamental work ethic that has always fulfilled this inspiration. So it should come as no great surprise to learn it is the indefatigable dedication to the work itself that drives the Bartier Bros' farming and wine-growing philosophy.

Mikael Backlund/Flames Foundation

Mikael and his wife Frida have been supporting the ALS Society of Alberta since 2012. For the 8th year running, KPMG Calgary and the Backlunds joined forces to continue the fight against ALS. For every point he recorded, he made a $500 donation to the ALS Society of Alberta, alongside KPMG and the Calgary Flames Foundation. To date, they have raised over $220,000. In addition, over the years Mikael has hosted many of our families as his special guests at Flames games, and has even continued to do online meet and greets during the Pandemic.
